John Sharpe John Sharpe is a Commercial/Editorial photographer who was born and raised in Calgary. His passion for photography began between December and February 1978 with a Christmas and Birthday gift of a Pentax ME Super and an 80-200 Zoom Lens. John said, "The first time I zoomed that lens to the 200 end I was 'hooked' for life. I just couldn't believe what I saw." In August of 1992, John hung out his shingle as 'Sharpeshots' and after more than a decade of crazy assignments, cranky editors, crazy art directors and some very hot models, Photographer John Sharpe has managed to apply his talents from girls in latex dresses to a stunt plane ride at 3 G's, which he swears he'd NEVER do again. John has shown himself to be the quintessential 'stylist' with the unique ability to bring a concept perfectly through from a rough 'idea' to the final image. He has collaborated with dozens of 'heavyweight' clients such as Maclean's magazine, Canadian Geographic, Dan Aykroyd, ESPN in New York and many, many more from Banks to Universities, Publishers to Ad Agencies. John's images continue to be published both nationally and internationally.
