Michael McDonald-The Unbelievable Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald

Yeah. 1976.

I had done a few years on the road playing Rock & Roll.

Somehow, and I can’t remember why, I ended up in an audio store selling nice, pricey stereo equipment.

We had some decent demo LP’s, yep, Vinyl… can you even imagine?

This one had me completely transfixed.

When I was playing in bands I sang and as such did some early Doobie Brothers material.

T’was OK.

China Grove, and it was all a Tom Johnson Sound.

The Wiki story about what happened next is HERE.

Enter Michael McDonald.

The Doobies would never be the same.

I love tons of different music.

But here’s my little tip.

Takin’ it to the Streets

Livin’ on the Fault Line

Minute By Minute and…

One Step Closer

Are– Ta’Dah!

My four favourite Desert Island Albums.

I’ll never get tired of them.

I get a rush any time I hear these Masterpieces.

Michael McDonald re-defined the Doobies– and I do love Jeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter as well.

And then?

I apologize for the Ultra-Tacky ‘Chick’ Video to accompany the last Viddy.

Such a classy song and such a crappy presentation.
